A note from
our founder
It started with a burden that I couldn’t ignore.
I saw a generation of young people full of potential, yet constantly pulled between pressure, noise, and confusion about who they are and why they matter. I saw talent without direction, energy without purpose, and hearts that were searching for something real—something deeper than what culture was offering them.
I didn’t just want to complain about it. I wanted to build something that would meet them right where they are.
That’s where the vision for the Capital Youth Conference was born.
In 2023, I launched a gathering designed not just as an event, but as an environment—an atmosphere where middle and high school students could experience something different. Something intentional. Something alive. A space where faith wasn’t distant or abstract, but real, accessible, and transformative.
From that vision came our foundation: the 5 E’s
Equip. Empower. Engage. Enrich. Enlighten.
These aren’t just words. They are a framework for transformation.
We exist to equip students with truth, empower them with identity, engage them in meaningful community, enrich their lives with purpose, and enlighten them to see who they truly are called to be.
Over the past two years, we’ve hosted four conferences—and each one has carried its own moment of impact and awakening.
What began as a simple gathering has grown into a movement.
Each conference is intentionally designed as a full experience:
Powerful live worship that shifts the atmosphere. High-energy games and giveaways that build connection and joy. Scholarships that open doors for higher education and future opportunity. And communicators from across the nation who bring messages rooted in truth, challenge, and hope—speaking directly into the hearts of this generation.
But we don’t stop there.
We close every conference with an after-party experience that reflects culture in a way students understand and connect with. We’ve been honored to host artists like Hulvey, Red Tips, Aaron Cole, and Issac Mansfield—creating moments where joy, creativity, and inspiration collide in a way that students don’t forget.
At the center of it all is one goal: to spark a flame that awakens purpose.
I’ve always believed my assignment is not just to lead events, but to build people. To breathe encouragement into others. To design environments and atmospheres where inspiration isn’t just felt—it’s experienced. Where creativity is unlocked. Where identity is strengthened. Where young people begin to see that their lives are not accidents, but assignments.
This conference is an extension of that calling.
And while it began in the DMV area, our vision has always been bigger than a region. We believe this is the beginning of a movement that will reach cities, schools, and communities across the nation—and ultimately the world—carrying one message:
There is a life of true fulfillment and purpose available to this generation, and it starts with an encounter that changes everything.
